Don’t Let Go

A sample: Don’t Let Go, made from two photos.

Make your own

The format

  • Vertical 9:16. AI Zombie gives you a 9:16 MP4 for exactly this; pick 16:9 only for a feed post or a landscape edit.
  • 15 seconds, which fits all three apps with room to spare.
  • Upload the file itself, not a link, so the app treats it as a video.
  • Keep the cold shot as the first frame. The cut to colour is what makes people stay to the end.

TikTok

  1. Tap +, then Upload, and pick the video.
  2. Tap Add sound and pick the trend’s sound, or keep the video’s own sound. If you add one, open Volume and turn the original sound down.
  3. If you want a line over the embrace, add it with Text.
  4. On the post screen, open More options and turn on the AI-generated content label.
  5. Write the caption, add three to five hashtags and post.

Instagram Reels

  1. Tap +, choose Reel and pick the video from your camera roll.
  2. Tap the music button to add audio, then lower the original sound in the volume controls.
  3. Add text if you want a line over the embrace.
  4. On the share screen, open Advanced settings and turn on the AI label.
  5. Write the caption, tag the person in it and share.

YouTube Shorts

  1. Tap +, then Upload a video, and pick the video. Vertical and this short, it posts as a Short.
  2. Tap Add sound to put a track from YouTube’s library under it, and lower the original sound.
  3. In the details, answer yes to altered or synthetic content, the label YouTube asks for when a video looks real but was made with AI.
  4. Add a title and upload.

Hashtags people use

These are the tags the trend’s own videos use. Three to five is plenty.

  • #aizombietrend
  • #zombieailovestory
  • #zombielovestory
  • #zombieaitrend

Captions and on-screen lines that fit are in zombie trend song, sounds and captions.

Landing the cut on the beat

If you add the trend’s sound, move the sound, not the video, until the beat drop lands on the hard cut to colour. On TikTok and Reels, trim the sound to change where it starts. Then watch it once with the sound on before you post.

Questions

How do I do the zombie trend on TikTok?

Make the 15-second video first, in an AI video tool or with AI Zombie from two photos. Then upload it in TikTok, add the trend’s sound with the original sound turned down, turn on the AI-generated content label and post it with a short caption.

How do I post the zombie trend on Instagram Reels?

Create a new Reel, pick the video from your camera roll, add the audio with the music button and lower the original sound. Before you share it, turn on the AI label in the advanced settings.

Do I have to label the zombie trend video as AI?

You should. TikTok, Instagram and YouTube all ask creators to label realistic AI-generated video, and each has a setting for it at upload. An unlabelled AI video can be labelled for you or taken down.
