How to do the zombie trend with your dog or cat
The pet version of the zombie trend: which photos work for dogs and cats, and how the video ends for them.

Why the pet version works
In the pet version, your dog or cat is the one who turns, and they still know exactly who you are. The cut lands on the most ordinary good day: fetch in the park for a dog, a nap in the sun for a cat.
Getting a usable pet photo
- Get down to their eye level and say their name, so they look at the lens.
- Daylight from a window works better than flash, which turns eyes green or white.
- One pet per photo. For two pets, make two videos.
- Cats: a photo of them looking at you counts, even if it took twenty minutes.
How the pet version ends
Choose “Me & my pet” in the generator. The story is the same as the original: your pet turns, still knows you, and you hold on. Dog videos then cut to fetch in the park, and cat videos to a sunbeam nap.
Questions
Can I do the zombie trend with my dog or cat?
Yes. Choose “Me & my pet” and add a photo of you and one of your pet. Your pet is the one who turns and still knows you, and the video cuts to fetch in the park for a dog or a nap in the sun for a cat.
Can I put two pets in one zombie trend video?
No. Each video has one person and one pet, and each photo should show one pet. For two pets, make two videos.
